The Bay and Strait of Gibraltar are home to the Common, Striped and Bottlenose dolphin, as well as migrating turtle, flying fish and many species of whale. It is not uncommon to encounter mothers with their calves in pods ranging from 20 to 30, up to many hundreds – an incredible sight! The best way to see these wonderful animals in their natural environment is to join a dolphin watching boat. We arrange such excursions which allow passengers to view this fascinating array of marine life without disturbing them. Lasting approximately 90 minutes, the experience is complemented by an award-winning commentary on dolphins and the history of Gibraltar . Passengers will enjoy learning about Admiral Nelson and the Battle of Trafalgar, the Pillars of Hercules, the Rock's vital role in WWII, famous visitors, famous weddings and modern day Gibraltar. This excursion was quoted by the BBC 1 ‘Holiday Programme' as “The Highlight of the Costa del Sol” and Sky Travel Channel as “The Ultimate Treat!” |
